What's To Come For Lincoln?

The Lincoln Motor Company is always looking for the next innovative thing to keep their vehicles new, exciting, and of course, luxurious.  2016 will be bringing two new redesigns that are sure to turn heads by all passersby.  The 2017 Lincoln Continental and MKZ, both making their debuts later this year, have some key features that are the epitome of luxury.  Here’s some highlights on what’s to come!

The 2017 Lincoln Continental – available Fall 2016 – is calm, cool and decidedly continental.  An available twin-turbocharged 3.0L GTDI V6 engine gives efficient horsepower-per-liter output and an available AWD powertrain, making the Continental one drive you are sure to remember.  Select from comfort, normal and sport driving modes and the continuously controlled damping (CCD) in the Continental will tune the chasis accordingly.  The vehicle’s available four exterior camera views stitch together in the center console to provide a seamless representation of your surroundings in low-speed situations.  It’s a luxury that has your back – and all your sides too.  The available Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go makes navigating through traffic a little more effortless.  ACC marries camera and radar, enabling the Continental to sense the pace of nearby cars and react accordingly.  The exterior has an athletic grace, confident presence, and sleek flowing lines that long only for new horizons.  The bold new one-piece grille that features a distinctive Lincoln Star mesh, is designed to turn heads and widen eyes.  The 4 e-latch door handles, available 30-way perfect position seats, and 400 projected horsepower are just a few highlights that makes the Lincoln Continental a step ahead of the rest.  The available rear-seat amenities package provides power lumbar support, heating and cooling capabilities and ample leg room, the reclining rear seat of the Continental has a bevy of features that will make you sit up and take notice.

The 2017 Lincoln MKZ – available Summer 2016 – is redesigned, responsive, and refined.  Outer beauty with inner strength.  The Lincoln Motor Company has gone to extraordinary lengths to give the exterior of the 2017 Lincoln MKZ an exceptional level of grace and elegance.  An equal amount of effort has been applied to develop and harness the capabilities of an available 3.0L GTDI engine.  This engine is projected to deliver 400-horsepower and 400lb.-ft of torque, makes the 2017 Lincoln MKZ one of the most powerful and compelling Lincoln vehicles to ever take the road.  The 2017 MKZ is a true driver’s car.  To make the driving experience even more distinctive, the available Driver’s Package combines Dynamic Torque Vectoring, a sport-tuned suspension and revised continuously controlled damping.  A unique grille, 19-inch wheels and painted brake calipers round out the exterior appearance while a unique interior theme and multicontour seats complement interior styling. Raw power can turn heads, but refined power is what truly deserves your attention. Dynamic Torque Vectoring, part of the available Driver’s Package, transfers power on demand to the appropriate rear wheel while driving through corners. This system enhances cornering agility without compromised ride comfort, which results in a smooth and seamless drive experience.  Road conditions can change in an instant, which is why they created Lincoln Drive Control. This suite of drive-enhancing technologies including continuously controlled damping, electric power-assisted steering and active noise control helps to deliver greater control while offering a tailored driving experience.  The shared features between the MKZ Hybrid and its gas counterpart go well beyond the exterior. Designers and engineers worked hand in hand to deliver a hybrid powertrain- while keeping almost every surface, button, knob and interior finish exactly the same.
