Routine Brake Inspections Help to Ensure Peak Condition

Typically, most vehicles don’t require brakes to be replaced every year; however, it is still recommended that every vehicle have a brake inspection every 12,000 miles or every 12 months.

Interpret the Codes on the Sides of Your Tires

Auto tire sizes and other tire details are marked on the sidewall of the tire in code. Assuming the mark reads P245/55R16H, the nomenclature means:

  • The number after the slash represents the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the tire width. In this case, the height is 55% of the tire width.
  • The "R" that follows represents the construction type. "R" stands for radial.
